We're Obsessed With Our White Marker (And Why You Should Buy It By The Case)
Okay, so I'm just going to come right out and say it: I get weirdly excited about our white marker. Like, I know that sounds ridiculous, but hear me out. The other day I was recording a voice memo to our team, which is something I do way too often because my brain moves faster than my fingers can type, and I realized I'd spent like three minutes just talking about white markers. Three minutes. About white. And it was like, oh man, maybe I need to turn this into a blog post because clearly I have thoughts.
Here's the thing. I don't think enough people know that you can buy cases of Chalk Ink® markers from us. Not just a handful. Not just a twelve pack. I'm talking actual cases. And I get it, when you think about ordering markers, your brain probably goes straight to Amazon or maybe your local supply store, and you grab what you need for the week or the month. But if you're a coffee shop chain or a hotel group or honestly any business that goes through markers like they're going out of style, buying cases is just smarter. It's more practical. It saves you money. And yet, we still get people who are surprised when I tell them this is even an option.
So anyway, let me back up and tell you how we got here.
The Part Where I Realize We're Not Just Selling Markers
When we first started making markers, I thought we were in the marker business. Sounds obvious, right? But what I didn't realize at the time was that we were actually solving a very specific problem for a very specific type of customer. We weren't just making something people wanted. We were making something people needed, and they needed it in bulk.
Carnival Cruise Line was one of the first big accounts that made this click for me. They go through Pacific Blue, Clown Nose Red, and Chalk White like you wouldn't believe. And it was like, oh. They're not buying these markers because they're cute or trendy. They're buying them because their entire operation depends on clear, visible signage that works on windows and chalkboards and glass surfaces in humid, high traffic environments. When you're running a cruise ship, you can't have markers that dry out or fade or smudge. You need markers that work every single time.
And that's when I realized we weren't just a marker company. We were a supply chain solution for businesses that couldn't afford to run out.
Let's Talk About White (Because Apparently I Can't Stop)
Our six millimeter chisel tip white marker is, no exaggeration, the best white marker on the market. I'm not saying that because I own the company. I'm saying it because I've tested every other white marker out there, and ours is just better. The pigment is denser. The coverage is cleaner. It doesn't streak or fade after a week. And here's a fun fact that I wish more people knew: if you pull that chisel tip out and flip it over, it's a bullet tip. Two markers in one. You're welcome.
We import hundreds of cases of white every year. Hundreds. And the reason we do that is because our customers use it constantly. Uline uses it. Grainger uses it. Home Depot and Lowe's use it. Not to sell, just to use. Because when you're labeling inventory or marking storage bins or writing on equipment, you need something that's going to last and actually be readable.
I remember when we first started working with Hilton, and they were distributing markers to all their different cafes and restaurants and lobby areas. They needed cases. Not packs. Cases. Because when you're managing hundreds of locations, you can't be ordering markers every other week. You need a system. And buying by the case is the system.
The Safety Marker Situation
So here's where it gets kind of interesting. We also make safety markers in Caution Orange, Laser Beam Blue, and Fluorescent White. These are specifically designed for trade work, construction, emergency response, that kind of thing. And we've had some amazing partnerships come out of this.
The Washington State Patrol, for example, loves our Caution Orange fifteen millimeter marker. They use it for marking evidence, accident scenes, all that stuff. And again, they buy it by the case because when you're in the field, you can't run out. You just can't.
Hospitals use our Safety Markers by Chalk Ink®. Construction crews keep them in emergency kits. FEMA is our dream customer and should be using our markers. And the reason you should choose our safety markers over other brands is because we've designed these specifically for high-stakes, high-visibility situations where being seen can be the difference between safe and dangerous. The fluorescent colors are brighter and more visible in low light conditions. The ink is more opaque so it shows up on any surface. The tips are more durable because when you're marking hazards or emergency zones, you can't afford to have a marker fail on you. It's not flashy or fancy. It's utilitarian. It's just really, really good at what it does when it matters most.
Why We're So Excited About Staples
Okay, so this is relatively new, but we're now in distribution centers for Staples, which is kind of a huge deal for us. And I'm excited about it because I know a lot of businesses already work with Staples for their office supplies. So now, instead of having to come directly to us or order from Amazon, you can just call your Staples rep and say, "Hey, I need a case of Chalk Ink® white markers," and they'll get it to you.
It's one of those things that seems small but actually makes a huge difference for businesses that are trying to streamline their purchasing. You're already ordering paper and pens and printer cartridges from Staples. Now you can add markers to that same order. It's just easier.
And honestly, this is one of those moments where I feel like we're finally starting to figure out how to make things simpler for the people who actually use our products every day. It took us a while to get here, but we're here, and it feels good.
The Part Where I Admit I'm Still Learning
I'm not going to pretend like I have all of this figured out. There are still days where I'm like, wait, do people even know they can do this? Do they know we sell cases? Do they know our white marker has two tips? And then I realize, oh right, that's what marketing is for. That's why I'm writing this blog post right now instead of just assuming everyone magically knows everything about our products.
Running a manufacturing company is weird because you're so close to the products that you forget other people don't live and breathe this stuff the way you do. I know every single thing about our markers because I've been making them for years. But the person who just discovered us on Amazon last week? They have no idea. And that's okay. That's what we're here for.
So if you're reading this and you're thinking, huh, I didn't know I could buy markers by the case, now you know. And if you're a hotel chain or a coffee shop or a retail store or a construction company or literally any business that uses markers on a regular basis, give us a call. We'll get you set up.
Okay, I'm Done Now
Alright, that's it. That's the blog post. I promise I wasn't planning to write eight hundred words about white markers, but here we are. If you made it this far, thanks for sticking with me. And if you have questions or you want to order a case or you just want to tell me I'm weird for being this passionate about markers, feel free to reach out. I'm always here. Always thinking about markers. Always happy to talk about them.
And hey, if you do end up ordering a case, let me know how it goes. I love hearing from people who actually use this stuff in the real world. It keeps me grounded and reminds me why we do what we do.
Alright. Back to work.
