Here we are, and summer has arrived, and I have a lot of feelings about it, so let's just dive in.

We have been putting together some content around all things colorful for summer, and the thing I keep coming back to is that summer is not just one occasion; it is like seventeen occasions stacked on top of each other in the best possible way.

You have got your barbecues, which are basically mandatory between now and September. You have Father's Day coming up, which, sidebar, is such an underrated gift occasion, and we have some genuinely great options for the dad who has everything except a really good insulated tumbler in a fun color. You have got July 4th, which is the Super Bowl of outdoor gatherings and therefore the Super Bowl of needing the right gear to celebrate with. And then, and this one kind of sneaks up on you every single year even though it absolutely should not at this point, back to school season starts lurking around the corner, basically the moment you finish your first popsicle of summer.

We are in for all of it. Anything around the summer, we are in.

Okay so let me tell you about a few specific things we have been loving lately because I think they are perfect for this moment in a way that is hard to fully explain without just showing them to you, but I will try.

Every single year I have the same experience where I blink, and suddenly it is Labor Day, and I am trying to remember what I actually did with June and July, and I can only come up with like four things. A journal is not a school supply; it is a summer supply. It is for writing down the good stuff while it is happening so you can actually remember it when fall arrives, and you need something to hold onto. Put your summer thoughts in there. The recipe you improvised at the cookout. The name of the beach you want to go back to. The thing your kid said that was so funny, you never want to forget it. All of it.
